Why a beaver

We started out as The Fridge Repair, and refrigerators are still a big part of the work. Then the calls grew to washers, dryers, ovens and dishwashers, and the name had to grow with them.

The beaver was an easy pick. In experiments in the 1960s, the Swedish zoologist Lars Wilsson found that the sound of running water alone was enough to set beavers building: played through a loudspeaker, it ended up buried under sticks and mud. An animal that hears a problem and goes straight to fixing it felt right for a repair company.
