Do you repair appliances in Plantation?

Yes. Beaver Appliance, based in Pompano Beach, works in every part of Plantation, from State Road 7 to the western city line, in houses, townhouses and condo buildings alike.

Everything else we repair

Gates, desks and break rooms

Plantation grew from a planned town into subdivisions, condo buildings and offices, so the way in differs from one street to the next. Four things are worth telling us when you book.

A golf course in Plantation from the air: fairways and lakes ringed by two-story condo buildings with tile roofs
  • A gate or a guard house

Many Plantation homes sit in planned subdivisions. If yours has a gate or a guard house, tell us how visitors are let in.

  • A condo building

Around University Drive, roughly half the homes in some areas are in buildings of 20 or more units. Such buildings often sign visitors in at a desk and keep contractors to weekday daytime hours.

  • A workplace

At an office, tell us who will meet us at reception and where the break room is.

  • A Fort Lauderdale address

A mailing address that reads Fort Lauderdale on a Plantation street changes nothing for booking: both cities are on our list.

Plantation, west to east

Plantation counted about 92,000 residents at the 2020 Census, and close to half of its homes are detached houses, according to the Census Bureau’s survey.

  1. Plantation Acres and the west

    West of Nob Hill Road

Houses on big lots with a rural feel in the Acres, a designated rural district, and newer subdivisions from the late eighties and nineties.

Landmark. The city’s Equestrian Center on West Sunrise Boulevard has two stables with 96 stalls.

  2. Jacaranda

Pine Island Road to Nob Hill Road

A planned community begun in 1970 around a golf course and lakes: townhouses, villas, low-rise condos and houses, most of them from the eighties.

Landmark. Jacaranda’s golf course opened in 1971, a year after the land was bought for the community.

  3. Midtown

Pine Island Road to University Drive

Condo and apartment buildings from the seventies and eighties around University Drive and Broward Boulevard, newer rentals from 2000 on, offices and shops.

Landmark. Westfield Broward opened in 1978 as Broward Mall.

  4. The east side

University Drive to State Road 7

The original 1950s town around City Hall: single-family streets on the founder’s generous lots, mostly built from the late fifties to the mid-seventies.

Landmark. Plantation Preserve’s golf course grew from 300 acres the founder donated for a course.

Plantation repair questions

Still have a question? Call (754) 285-8880 Send a text

Do you come out to Plantation Acres and the far west?

Yes, and to every other part of the city: Plantation Acres and the newer subdivisions out west, Jacaranda between Pine Island and Nob Hill roads, Midtown along University Drive, and the east side around City Hall.

Which Plantation does Beaver Appliance cover?

Plantation in Broward County, the city just west of Fort Lauderdale. Florida has another Plantation, in Sarasota County, and it isn’t in Beaver Appliance’s area.

My street flooded. Is it safe to run the washer or dryer?

If floodwater reached it, wait until it has been checked. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission warns against touching a wet appliance that’s still plugged in and says to have a professional or your utility look over the home before you use appliances again. Tropical Storm Eta flooded many streets across Plantation in November 2020, the city’s timeline records.

Do you repair break-room appliances in Plantation offices?

Yes, plug-in equipment such as a break-room refrigerator, an ice maker or a drink cooler. Plantation is an office city as well as a suburb, as the city’s own list of major employers shows. For anything larger, call and ask first.

Do you also work in Fort Lauderdale and the towns around Plantation?

Fort Lauderdale, across State Road 7 to the east, is on Beaver Appliance’s list, and so are Coral Springs and Margate to the north. Sunrise, Lauderhill and Davie border Plantation but aren’t on the list, so from those towns, call us and ask.
