Do you repair appliances in Parkland?

Yes. Beaver Appliance works all over Parkland, in the planned communities and on the big estate lots alike.

Everything else we repair

Repairs in a newer home

About two-thirds of Parkland’s homes were built in 2000 or later, and in the northwest most have gone up in 2010 or later. A few things are worth knowing in a house that new.

  • The maker’s warranty first

In a house this new, the appliance may still be under its manufacturer’s warranty; if so, that’s the place to start.

  • A dishwasher that never drained

If it hasn’t drained since it went in, the cause may be in the install. GE, Whirlpool and Samsung describe three install faults.

  • New construction nearby

GE notes that building work in an area can send more sediment into the water system, and it advises changing a refrigerator’s water filter every six months.

  • Gates and guest lists

Parkland, west to east

Parkland had about 35,000 people at the 2020 Census, and more than eight in ten of its homes are detached houses, the highest share on our list.

  1. The northwest

    North of Hillsboro Boulevard

The newest streets in the city: planned communities set around big lakes, most of them built in 2010 or later.

The edge. West of the last houses is the conservation area: open Everglades.

  2. Lakes and golf

Hillsboro Boulevard to the Sawgrass Expressway

Planned communities from the late nineties and 2000s, set around lakes and two golf clubs.

Landmark. Pine Trails Park sits among the lake communities here.

  3. Ranch country

Around University Drive and Holmberg Road

Big lots zoned for one home per acre or per two and a half acres, near City Hall and the riding rings of the Equestrian Center at Temple Park.

Wells. Much of the middle and the southeast draws on private wells, the city’s water service map shows.

  4. The east

    Out to State Road 7

Nineties neighborhoods and the one-acre lots of Pine Tree Estates, then shops, townhouses and apartments along State Road 7.

Water. Many of the eastern communities buy theirs from the City of Coconut Creek.

Parkland homeowners ask

Asking about a newer home? Call (754) 285-8880 Text the model

Do you work in every part of Parkland, from the lake communities in the west to State Road 7?

Yes: the lake and golf communities in the west and northwest, the ranch lots around University Drive and Holmberg Road, and the neighborhoods east to State Road 7. Mailing addresses here don’t always follow the city line, so if you’re unsure which side you’re on, call or text and ask.

We just moved into a new Parkland home and the ice maker is empty. Is it broken?

Probably not yet. GE allows up to 24 hours for its ice makers to start cycling, and Whirlpool says the bin can take up to three days to fill once the freezer is cold. Still no ice after that? Text us a photo of the model sticker.

Our Parkland home is on a private well and septic. Does that matter for our appliances?

It matters for upkeep. The EPA leaves the water from a private well to its owner, and that same water feeds the ice maker and the dishwasher. On septic, the EPA suggests spreading washing machine loads through the week rather than doing them all in one day.

Our Parkland house is only a few years old. Isn’t the builder responsible for the appliances?

Not for an appliance the manufacturer’s warranty still covers. Florida’s new-home warranty law, in force since July 2025, requires a one-year builder warranty but leaves appliance defects covered by a manufacturer’s warranty outside it, so check the manufacturer’s warranty first. If it has run out, call or text us.

Do you also work in Coral Springs and Coconut Creek?

Yes, both border Parkland, Coral Springs to the south and Coconut Creek to the east, and both are on Beaver Appliance’s list. North of the county line, West Boca Raton is unincorporated Palm Beach County and isn’t on the list; if you live there, give us a call.
