Houses, condo buildings and small businesses
Houses
Of every age: more than eight in ten Lighthouse Point homes were built before 1980, and two-thirds of Parkland’s in 2000 or later, by the Census Bureau’s count.
Condo buildings
High-rise towers and low-rise garden condos, each with its own rules for contractors. Tell us yours when you book. Dryer vents in condos have their own page.
Small businesses
The plug-in equipment a shop runs on: the drink cooler by the register, the ice maker, the break-room refrigerator. For anything larger, call and ask first.

Do you serve Palm Beach County and Miami-Dade, or only Broward?
Both, in part. Beaver Appliance works across Broward County and nearby parts of Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties: Boca Raton and Delray Beach in Palm Beach County, and the City of Miami in Miami-Dade.
Do you come as far as Miami?
Yes. The City of Miami is the far edge of Beaver Appliance’s area, about 45 minutes from Pompano Beach on I-95 when the roads are clear, and longer at rush hour.
Call or text and we’ll give you the earliest time we have.
My town isn’t on your list. Can you still help?
Ask us. Miami Beach, Hillsboro Beach and West Boca sit beside towns on Beaver Appliance’s list but aren’t on it. West Boca, for one, lies outside the City of Boca Raton, even where a postal address says Boca Raton.
If yours isn’t there, give us a call.
Is Beaver Appliance the same business as The Fridge Repair?
Yes, Beaver Appliance was called The Fridge Repair in South Florida, and its older Google reviews were left under that name. ASPANN LLC is the company behind the trade name.
What should I do if an appliance stops during a storm or a power cut?
When a storm or a power cut stops an appliance, look after your safety first, keep the refrigerator and freezer doors shut, and check the USDA’s safe times on our refrigerator page. Once the power is back, give a refrigerator time to restart and check whether yours must be switched back on. If it still won’t run, call or text us.
Does South Florida’s heat and humidity affect appliances?
South Florida’s heat and humidity change how refrigerators behave. GE says that in an extremely hot, humid area the run time may approach 100 percent, and that humid air can leave moisture on the outside of the cabinet. Whirlpool and KitchenAid say their refrigerators are meant for rooms between 55°F and 110°F, which matters if yours stands in the garage.
Do you work in condo buildings as well as houses?
Yes, Beaver Appliance works in condo buildings of every height as well as houses. In the three counties, between about one home in five and one in three is in a building of 20 or more units, according to the Census Bureau. Each building sets its own rules for contractors, so tell us yours when you book.
