Do you repair appliances in Pompano Beach?
Yes. Beaver Appliance, formerly The Fridge Repair, is based here and works in houses, condo units and local shops in every part of the city.
Repairs in condo buildings
Every building writes its own rules, but the published rules of five Pompano Beach associations, three on the beach and two in Palm Aire, share a pattern worth knowing.

The front desk
Staff may register us and phone you before we go up, so keep your phone close.
Parking
Expect a visitor pass. In one Palm Aire association, service vans must use guest spaces.
The elevator
Usually the service elevator. One tower wants it booked through the desk for anything large.
Working hours
Daytime, mostly weekdays, and never Sundays in the four that set hours. Ask whether a repair counts.
Laundry
Some beach towers have shared laundry rooms instead of a dryer in each unit. If your unit has its own dryer, see condo dryer vents.
Tell us your building’s rules
Text a photo of the model sticker, with your building’s contractor hours and visitor parking. Rules change, and your building’s current ones are the ones that count.

Which parts of Pompano Beach do you cover?
All of it: the Highlands and Cresthaven in the north, Palm Aire and Cypress Bend in the southwest, the neighborhoods south of Atlantic, downtown, and the beach from Terra Mar up to Hillsboro Shores. An address that says Fort Lauderdale makes no difference: that city is on our list too.
Can you repair appliances in a Pompano Beach condo with building rules for contractors?
Yes, Beaver Appliance works in Pompano Beach condo units under each building’s own rules for contractors, such as front desk sign-in, parking and elevator hours. Tell us yours when you book.
I’m away for the season. Can I arrange a repair for my Pompano Beach unit?
Yes, from wherever you are; calls and messages are answered 24/7. Along the beach, close to a third of homes stand empty for seasonal use, by the Census Bureau’s count. Tell us who can open the door; nothing is repaired until you approve the written price.
Can I book a repair for a parent who lives in Pompano Beach?
Yes, by phone or text from anywhere. About half of the city’s households are headed by someone 55 or older, according to the Census Bureau. The price is written down first, so the two of you can look it over together before anyone says yes.
Do you also work in Lighthouse Point, Deerfield Beach and the towns next to Pompano Beach?
Yes, Lighthouse Point, Deerfield Beach, Coconut Creek, Margate and Fort Lauderdale are on Beaver Appliance’s list, with more South Florida towns beyond them. Hillsboro Beach, North Lauderdale and Lauderdale-by-the-Sea border Pompano Beach but aren’t on it; if you’re in one of them, give us a call.
Does the salt air on the Pompano Beach waterfront affect stainless appliances?
It can stain them but does not weaken them. The Australian Stainless Steel Development Association calls it tea staining, a cosmetic brown film most common within about three miles of the surf. On the beach side, check stainless refrigerator doors, handles and outdoor-kitchen appliances; a light, regular wash keeps it down.
