Do you repair appliances in Miami?
Yes, in the City of Miami. Beaver Appliance repairs refrigerators, washers, dryers and dishwashers in the city’s towers, its small apartment buildings and its houses.
Towers, rentals and heat
Most homes in the City of Miami are rented, by the Census Bureau’s count, and many of the newer ones are in towers with their own rules for visitors.

Booking the desk
Towers often want service visits booked with the front desk ahead of time, and on weekdays.
Parking
Downtown and Brickell parking means a metered street space or the building’s garage, so say how yours handles visitors.
If you rent
Ask your landlord or check the lease before you book; it usually says who arranges a repair.
The heat
Miami International Airport averages about 91 days a year at 90°F or more, with summer nights in the upper seventies, NOAA’s normals show. KitchenAid notes that a refrigerator’s motor runs longer in warm conditions.
Text us the sticker and the rules
Send a photo of the model sticker, and add your building’s rules for visitors and parking, since every tower sets its own.

Questions about Miami
Not sure you’re in the city? Call (754) 285-8880 Text us
Is every address that says Miami inside your area?
No, only the City of Miami, at the far south of Beaver Appliance’s area. Many homes in Kendall, Westchester and the Doral area have a Miami mailing address without being in the city, and those places aren’t on our list; if you’re not sure where your address falls, call or text and ask.
Is Miami Beach or Coral Gables on your list?
No. Miami Beach, Coral Gables, Hialeah, Miami Shores, West Miami and the other cities that border the City of Miami aren’t on Beaver Appliance’s list; if you live in one of them, give us a call. The nearest towns on the list are Plantation and Fort Lauderdale, in Broward County.
How far do you drive to reach Miami?
About 35 miles by road from Pompano Beach, where Beaver Appliance is based, nearly all of it on I-95. Rush hour adds time, and so can the Brickell Avenue Bridge, which on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. opens for boats only on the hour and half hour. Call or text and we’ll give you the earliest time we have.
My condo in Miami is new. Is the appliance still under warranty?
Possibly, so check before you book. Florida law gives the buyer of a new condo unit a developer’s warranty on the appliances that come with it for as long as the manufacturer’s own warranty runs, counted from closing or possession, whichever came first. Your closing papers and the manufacturer’s warranty will tell you.
I rent in Miami. Who is responsible for fixing the refrigerator?
Usually the lease decides. Florida’s landlord-tenant law names heat, running water and hot water among an apartment landlord’s duties, but not appliances, and about seven in ten homes in the City of Miami are rented, the Census Bureau says.
Should I keep a refrigerator that sat in floodwater?
No. The USDA says a refrigerator or freezer that was submerged by floodwater, even partly, is unsafe to use and must be discarded.
