Do you repair appliances in Odessa, FL?

Yes. In Pasco and in Hillsborough alike. We reach the Odessa Census area in about 10 minutes and Keystone in about 25, longer at rush hour.

Everything else we repair

One Odessa, two counties

Odessa is a mailing name, not a city, and it runs across the county line. The two sides differ most in where a home’s water comes from.

  • More Hillsborough than Pasco

More than half of the homes with an Odessa address are in Hillsborough County; the rest are in Pasco.

  • A well on many lots

Hillsborough’s plan for Keystone and Odessa calls the area “dependent on water wells for survival.” About three in ten Odessa-addressed homes on that side are recorded with a private well, and about six in ten homes there sit outside the county’s water service areas.

  • Ice from a well

Sub-Zero says homes on well water may need a pressure booster or regulator for its built-in ice makers, and GE lists the water supply itself among the causes of bad-tasting ice. More on ice makers and water pressure.

  • Big lots, country roads

On the Hillsborough side the typical Odessa lot is about half an acre and one in three is an acre or more, and the county’s plan keeps the rural roads two-lane. Tell us about gates, long drives or dogs when you book.

On a well? Put it in your text

Send a picture of the model sticker and a line about the problem, and mention it if the house draws its water from a well.

Odessa, from Pasco to Keystone

The Odessa Census area counted about 8,100 people in 2020, yet it holds only about a quarter of Odessa-addressed homes; about half are in Keystone.

  1. Starkey Ranch and Asturia

Pasco side, off State Road 54

Newer master-planned subdivisions on Odessa mail, outside any Census place.

Landmark. Pasco County’s Starkey Ranch Theatre Library Cultural Center.

  2. The Census area

State Road 54 and Gunn Highway

Newer and more mixed: about three homes in four went up in 2000 or later, apartment communities along State Road 54 among them.

Road. The Suncoast Parkway, a toll road, crosses State Road 54 here.

  3. Keystone and its lakes

Hillsborough side, past the county line

Nine in ten homes here are detached, nearly all lived in by their owners, set between lakes and farm land on lots of every size.

Landmark. Austin Davis Public Library has an Odessa address but sits inside Keystone.

  4. The Eagles

    South-west, inside Keystone

A golf community of curving streets and ponds, still on the Hillsborough side and still on Odessa mail.

Rules. Rural design guidelines have shaped building in Keystone and Odessa from 2002 on.

Questions from Odessa, FL homes

Pasco side or Hillsborough side? Call (813) 513-1699 Text us

Do you cover Odessa on both the Pasco and Hillsborough sides?

Yes, both. On the Pasco side that means the Census area and the newer streets off State Road 54; on the Hillsborough side, Keystone and The Eagles.

Is my Odessa home on county water or a well?

On the Pasco side it is almost always Pasco County Utilities, which gets most of its water from Tampa Bay Water’s regional plants. On the Hillsborough side, some streets are inside the county’s Northwest service area, and many homes outside it have a private well. Your water bill tells you which.

We live in Keystone. Should the booking say Keystone or Odessa?

Whichever your mail uses. Most homes in Keystone have an Odessa address, while others use Tampa or Lutz; the street address is what we need.

Can a chest freezer live in a shed or barn on a rural lot?

Only within its maker’s room range. GE rates its 2018 and newer chest and upright freezers for rooms from 0 to 110°F and asks for a dry, well-ventilated spot, never a closet. Your model’s installation instructions decide; see freezers in hot spaces.

Do you also work in Land O’ Lakes, Lutz and New Port Richey?

We do. Land O’ Lakes is east of Odessa, Lutz southeast and New Port Richey northwest, each with a page of its own. For a spot near Odessa that the list misses, call or text and ask.
