Yes. In houses, townhouses and condo buildings on both sides of Lake Tarpon, East Lake included.
What we fix in Palm Harbor
Refrigerator repair in Palm Harbor
Freezers and ice makers too. Have an undercounter ice machine? KitchenAid says minerals left behind by freezing build up as scale, so keep to the cleaning schedule in its manual.
Washer repair in Palm Harbor
About one home in twelve here is held for the season. Closing yours up? Whirlpool’s advice is to turn off the washer’s water supply before you go.
Dryer repair in Palm Harbor
Electric dryers that tumble without heat, need a second cycle to dry a load, or shut off before the clothes are done.
Dishwasher repair in Palm Harbor
The county’s water is very hard on the USGS scale. If glasses come out spotted or filmed, GE’s first suggestion is a rinse agent.
Oven, range and cooktop repair in Palm Harbor
Electric ranges, wall ovens and glass cooktops: an element that stays cold, an oven running hot or cool, a door still locked after self-clean.
Dryer vent cleaning in Palm Harbor
In a condo, your declaration says whether the association or you look after the dryer duct. We clean your unit’s own duct, to where it leaves your unit, at a wall hood or where it joins a shared riser.
Palm Harbor water, by the county’s numbers
Almost every home in Palm Harbor is on Pinellas County Utilities water, a blend of groundwater, treated surface water and desalinated seawater.

Very hard on the USGS scale
The county’s 2025 report puts total hardness at an average of 217 ppm, a softener setting of 11 to 14 grains per gallon. The USGS calls anything over 180 very hard.
A different taste, twice a year
For about three weeks at a time, usually twice a year, the county switches from chloramine to chlorine and says the water may taste or smell slightly different. It posts the dates ahead on its website.
Softeners and purifiers
The county’s advice is to follow the maker’s specifications for your treatment device. It adds that most home purifiers aren’t designed to remove chloramines.
Ice that tastes odd
GE lists the water supply and an old water filter among the causes of bad-tasting ice.

About 61,000 people lived in Palm Harbor at the 2020 Census, the biggest community in Pinellas County that isn’t a city. Nearly half its homes were built in the eighties: houses, townhouses and small condo buildings.
-
On the Sound
The west shore
Crystal Beach and Ozona sit on St. Joseph Sound, at the western edge of Palm Harbor.
Water all round. More than a third of the area the Census maps as Palm Harbor is water, the Sound on one side and Lake Tarpon on the other.
-
The middle
Either side of US 19
Across Palm Harbor, just over half the homes are detached houses, about one in ten a townhouse and about one in fourteen a mobile home.
Settled. About four households in ten are headed by someone 65 or older.
-
Lake Tarpon
The east side
The county calls it the largest lake in Pinellas, with about four square miles of water, and the Census line between Palm Harbor and East Lake runs through it.
One utility. East Lake, across the water, is on Pinellas County Utilities water too.
-
East Lake
Across the lake
About half of East Lake’s homes carry a Palm Harbor address; the rest say Oldsmar or Tarpon Springs.
One in five. About one Palm Harbor address in five is on this side of the lake.
Palm Harbor questions
Not sure which side of the lake counts? Call (813) 513-1699 Or text us
Does Palm Harbor have its own city government?
No. It’s unincorporated Pinellas County that the Census counts as one place. It still has more people than the cities of Dunedin or Tarpon Springs.
Our mail says Palm Harbor, but we live east of Lake Tarpon. Do you cover us?
Yes. That’s East Lake, and we come out there too. The Palm Harbor name crosses the lake: the East Lake Community Library gives Palm Harbor as its own address.
Do you come out to Crystal Beach and Ozona?
Yes, both. They’re part of Palm Harbor, on the shore of the Sound. About 700 homes there use Crystal Beach as their postal name, so book with whichever name your mail carries.
We close the house for the summer. Does that matter to a built-in Sub-Zero?
It can. Sub-Zero designs its indoor units for rooms between 60°F and 90°F, and says a unit in a humid home without climate control may frost up or fill its drain pan quickly.
Is Clearwater on your list too?
Yes. Clearwater, to the south, has a page of its own, and so does New Port Richey, to the north over the Pasco line.
